Frequently Asked questions
Why should I use doilies?
Doilies enhance the appearance of table settings,
dessert carts, bakery cases and hotel rooms. They are a low cost way to show you care
about
your customers. Furthermore, better presentations will sell more products. People eat with
their eyes, and doilies enhance the products they decorate.
What is the difference
between a lace and linen doily?
Lace doilies are perforated with decorative
holes that replicate the intricate openwork of dainty, hand crocheted
doilies. Linen doilies have no decorative holes. In order to simulate the
look and texture of real linen Brooklace embosses its linen doilies with a
cross-hatched thread pattern and omits the punches used in the lace
doily-making process.
What is the difference
between white bond paper, glassine, grease-proof?
Preferred for most applications, white bond
paper is a bright white, low cost paper with limited grease resistance.
Glassine paper is not as bright as white bond but is a denser, highly
calendared paper that has significantly more grease resistance.
Grease-proof paper is a treated paper stock that offers the best grease
resistance of the three.
What are the top selling sizes and
types of doilies?
Our top selling doilies are the 10",
12", and 14" round
paper doilies and the 10" gold foil doily.
Also, our holiday doilies (Heart Shaped,
Shamrocks
and
Christmas) are very popular seasonally.

separate better than competitive brands?

much cleaner than other brands of doilies?
